Windy
on WindRose.
For owners whose station reaches Windy but has no cloud of its own, or is fed by third-party software.
What you need
- A Windy Stations account with your station registered.
- An API key, created in the Windy Stations area.
Step by step
Sign in at stations.windy.com and open API Keys.
Create a key and copy it.
In WindRose open Stations, then Add station, and choose Windy.
Paste the key and press Look up. Your stations appear.
Pick one, name it, and save.

Worth knowing
You only need the API key. WindRose reads the per-station password from your own station record, so there is no second secret to copy.
Windy keeps seven days of readings and no more. WindRose stores everything it collects from the day you connect, but it cannot fill in anything older than that first week.
Windy is a relay rather than a source. If your hardware has a cloud of its own, connecting that usually gives you more sensors and longer history.
