Barani MeteoHelix straight to WindRose.

A MeteoHelix IoT Pro on LoRaWAN, Gen1 or Gen2, registered on The Things Network. One webhook forwards every uplink to WindRose, which decodes the payload itself.

What you need

  • A MeteoHelix IoT Pro registered in an application on The Things Network (TTN v3, The Things Stack).
  • Access to that application’s Integrations in the TTN console.

Step by step

  1. In WindRose open Stations, then Add station, and choose Barani MeteoHelix (LoRaWAN / TTN). Place the station on the map and save.

  2. WindRose shows a Base URL, and a header X-WindRose-Token with its value. Keep the page open.

  3. In the TTN console open your application, then Integrations, Webhooks, Add webhook, Custom webhook. Choose the JSON format and paste the Base URL.

  4. Under Additional headers add X-WindRose-Token with the value from WindRose. Enable Uplink message only, then save.

  5. The next uplink, within ten minutes, makes the station live in WindRose.

Worth knowing

This integration is in beta. It follows Barani’s published payload format and is being confirmed on real stations. If a value looks wrong, write to us from the link below.

WindRose decodes the raw LoRaWAN payload, so the payload formatter in your TTN application can stay as it is.

Rain is counted from the station’s rain counter between uplinks, for a 0.2 mm gauge. Tell us if yours has a different resolution.

A TTN webhook carries the uplinks of every device in its application, and a WindRose station accepts one device. With several MeteoHelix, give each its own TTN application.

ThingPark, Loriot and ChirpStack send a different format and are not supported yet. Write to us if you use one.
