METOS FieldClimate on WindRose.
Pessl Instruments iMetos stations. FieldClimate opens its data to other apps through an API subscription. With its keys, WindRose reads your stations.
What you need
- A FieldClimate account with the station on it.
- An active FieldClimate API subscription, requested from the API Services page.
- The HMAC public and private keys shown on that page.
Step by step
Sign in at fieldclimate.com and open API Services. Request a subscription if you do not have one yet.
Once it is active, copy the HMAC public key and the private key from the same page.
In WindRose open Stations, then Add station, and choose METOS FieldClimate. Paste both keys and press Look up.
Pick the station, name it and save.

This integration is in beta. It follows Pessl’s published API documentation and is being confirmed on real stations. If a value looks wrong, write to us from the link below.
Your subscription tier sets how often any app may read a station. On Tier 1 (48 requests a day) WindRose reads the current conditions every hour and brings in the last 30 days of history a little at a time. On Tier 2 or 3, tell us and we raise the limit for your station.
iMetos stations upload every 15 to 60 minutes, so the dashboard shows the latest upload.
