HOBO on WindRose.

HOBO RX3000 and RX2100 remote stations and MX loggers. HOBOlink is now LI-COR Cloud: you create an API token there, and WindRose reads your station with it.

What you need

  • A LI-COR Cloud account (formerly HOBOlink) with the station on it.
  • A LI-COR Cloud API token.

Step by step

  1. Sign in at licor.cloud, open Data, then API, and press Add Token. Name it, press Create and copy the token.

Simplified illustration of the LI-COR Cloud screen. Labels can differ slightly between versions.
  2. In WindRose open Stations, then Add station, and choose HOBO / LI-COR Cloud.

  3. Paste the token, press Look up and pick the station by its serial number.

  4. Place the station on the map, because LI-COR Cloud does not share its location. Name it and save.

Worth knowing

This integration is in beta. It follows LI-COR’s published API documentation and is being confirmed on real stations. If a value looks wrong, write to us from the link below.

Each account can hold up to five tokens. Deleting the token in LI-COR Cloud disconnects WindRose at once.

WindRose reads the station every five minutes. HOBO stations log every one to ten minutes.
